The artwork is a representation of the colourful neighbourhood of "EL risco de San Juan" in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a visually striking neighbourhood known for its colourful houses and narrow, winding streets that date back to the 17th century. Originally, fishermen used leftover paint from their boats to colour the house fronts.
